We exist to unlock the full potential of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) by delivering consistently great-tasting fish with minimal environmental impact. We combine advanced water treatment, rigorous validation, and animal-welfare-first design to raise the bar for sustainable protein.
The Problem
Sea-based salmon farming faces mounting biological and economic pressures. Land-based RAS offers a sustainable, bio-secure path forward—yet adoption is constrained by the earthy “muddy” taste caused by Geosmin and 2-Methylisoborneol (MIB). Traditional mitigation relies on extended depuration, which increases cost, risk, and complexity.
The Opportunity
By removing off-flavours at the source, producers can deliver consistently superior fish, reduce biomass risk and operating costs, and scale RAS adoption globally.
Our Innovation: Photocatalytic Ozonation (PO)
PO integrates photocatalysis with ozone-based water treatment to selectively degrade Geosmin and MIB in situ—without changing production cycles or adding bulky, expensive steps. Compared with conventional ozonation or activated carbon, PO is compact, energy-efficient, and designed for scalable integration.

Validation & Partnerships
Our first commercial-scale PO unit has been delivered to the Centre for Sustainable Aquatic Research (CSAR) at Swansea University for rigorous trials, undertaken in collaboration with CSAR and an Italian university partner. These partnerships ensure scientific rigour and independent validation at every step. Outputs include validated performance data, protected process IP, and optimised operating protocols.
Our R&D
We are focused on developing, building, and trialling Photocatalytic Ozonation systems to support the commercial adoption of land-based RAS. The work includes prototype construction, integration, performance analytics, and the creation of operational playbooks for full-scale deployment.
